Semi-tubular rivets are used to permanently fasten assemblies of meal, wood, plastic, ceramic, leather or composition materials with pre-punched or pre-drilled holes. They are very similar to solid rivets but with a shallow hole at the end. This reduces the amount of force needed for installation. High speed automatic feed machines are used for fast easy clinching, providing high strength and low cost per unit.
